"Gig Of The Week"

Yorkshire Evening Press, June 2000
(regarding
A Man Called Martin's York preview)

"Inexplicable are an indeterminate number of comedians of whom four reached last night's somewhat chilly stage. Jim Gillingham has stage presence and was a strong compere, as well as performing sketches with Sam Al-Hamdani; Kris Dyer and Dave Marks are national stand up comedians semi-finalists who battled gamely with the discocertingly lare arrival of the audience. Dave has good comedy timing and Kris a fine repertoire of voices and the gags were often refreshingly unarch."

The Yorkshire Evening Press. February 4th 1998.

POINT SHIRLEY, University Arts Magazine, June 18th 1998.

"A cruelly perceptive side-swipe at academia […] which left half of the audience rolling in the aisles whilst the other half obediently took notes […] the performances were played brilliantly straight throughout, to the extent that it was unclear as to where the joke ended and reality began […] this group of young comics are the most awesomely talented for a very long time"

NOUSE, University Newspaper, June 27th 1999
